A platform to meaningfully connect New Australians to the wider community, a vegan meal delivery service and a customisable careers hub were among the outstanding early-stage startups pitched by women founders during New Wave Founders Finals Night.
The Finals Night was the culmination of many week's work by the ten teams who participated in the intensive incubator. The program took women founders from the seed of an idea, through team formation, business development and marketing, to emerge on the other side with real startups.
First Prize went to MiMe for their Migrant Mentor platform, with Simply Vegan and Brio Hub in second and third place respectively.
Reflecting on the Finals Night, Director of Entrepreneurship Elizabeth Eastland observed; "the evening showed that when universities and others reach out to young women a transformative experience can happen when they find their voices and confidence to present their ideas to the world."
We congratulate all our new UNSW women founders!
