Belinda Xie

Behavioural Economics Adviser, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet

Psychology researcher with experience in academic and non-academic research environments, exploring basic research questions in cognitive science as well as applied questions in environmental, business, and mental health domains. I have over 5 years of experience in designing experiments, analysing complex data sets, and communicating findings to diverse audiences. Throughout these different experiences, I have prioritised research rigour and communicating in precise but engaging ways. I have worked successfully within diverse teams and have also led several research projects through to completion.

My core focus areas include:

I am committed to ongoing development, and have recently completed training in climate change science (Climate Reality Leadership Corps), communication (Influential Women), and science advocacy (UNSW Women in Maths and Science Champions).
