Carly Vickers

Associate Lecturer at UNSW Art & Design

Carly is a multidisciplinary designer and researcher. As a designer/maker her work spans concept, graphic, ceramic and object design.

She holds a Bachelor of Music Studies (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a Bachelor of Design (First Class Honours) from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW and is currently completing a PhD in design. Carly's current research practice explores the application of design thinking and visual communication in music performance.

As a freelance graphic designer, Carly primarily works on design for print with a significant focus on design for music performance and educative contexts, such as concert programs, teaching resources and associated collateral. Carly also enjoys projects for film, primarily title and credit design. Carly has worked on three awarding winning Australian films, Seamstress - A short film directed by Gracie Otto (2010), The Hoarders - A short film directed by Keaton Stewart (2012) and The Last Impresario - A full length documentary directed by Gracie Otto (2013.)
