Eligibility
All current university students in all disciplines are welcome to attend.
There is no prerequisite knowledge required and students at all stages of their degrees are encouraged to get involved.
Damages
By participating in this hack, you warrant that you’ll be liable for any damage to equipment that occurs in the course of the hack and agree to pay any monies flowing from that damage.
Intellectual Property
If there is any Background IP in the brief provided by the Sponsor, the Sponsor will continue to own that IP but will permit students to use that IP for the purpose of the course and the competition.
Background IP means in relation to a party, the rights of that party in and to: (a) any Intellectual Property Rights existing prior to the Term which a party makes available for the purpose of the Competition or the Course; and (b) any Intellectual Property Rights created by a party (whether alone or jointly with any other person) after the commencement of the Competition and independent of the Competition and the Course.
It is a matter for a team to decide who/how IP ownership will be determined amongst themselves. Negotiating IP after the competition will be the responsibility of the team with the sponsor – the University will not negotiate IP.

Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following.

- gender identity and expression
- age
- sexual orientation
- disability
- physical appearance
- body size
- race
- ethnicity
- nationality
- religion
- previous hackathon attendance or lack thereof
We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
- hacks
- talks, presentations, or demos
- workshops
- any parties associated to the hackathon
- social media
- any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.
