Tech moguls and best friends inspiring next generation women entrepreneurs at UNSW

The latest UNSW Founders New Wave in motion event KIC’d off on September 30 with Laura Henshaw and Steph Claire Smith, co-founders of Keep it Cleaner (KIC), who together are revolutionising the health and fitness industry.

Since its launch in 2018, KIC has focused on lifestyle changes that are accessible, fuss-free and easy to use.  Focusing on healthy lifestyle changes and challenging the need for society to constantly compare and critique their bodies, the pair are committed to flipping the traditional fitness industry on its head and shifting their community's perspectives on health and wellness.  Now with hundreds of thousands of followers from all over the world, Laura and Steph are ramping it up with the recent app relaunch KIC 2.0.

The monthly UNSW Founders New Wave in Motion event provides a platform for inspiring women to share their entrepreneurial experiences. The online series launched in August of 2020 with Narelle Anderson, Founder and Managing Director of Envirobank Recycling.

The Founders New Wave program addresses the underrepresentation of women in entrepreneurship by empowering UNSW students, staff or alumni who identify as women to launch startups.
